Kas Lake is situated 26km from Satara city.  Satara is also one of the oldest cities in Maharashtra. It is on an altitude of 3,500 ft from sea level. This lake was built in 1875. The lake location is calm and surrounded by forests. This lake is man-made lake. This place comes to life during the rainy season and becomes a visual treat for nature lovers. Kas Lake is to the West and a little below the Kas Pathar at a height of about 3725’MSL. The lake is the main drinking water supply source for Satara City. There are two ways to reach kas pathar one from direct Satara and another way is the link road via Tapola connecting to Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani to kas pathar.

Entry fee Rs.10 per person and Rs.50 for Camera Charges and Parking is available Near Kas Lake. There is no parking on the road and if someone parked then he pay the fine as per the Rule.
